Yesterday, I had the opportunity to hang out with Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey as he raced his Ford Mustang FT and Mazda MX-5 at the Miller MotorSports Park in Tooele, Utah.

Dempsey, one of the stars of Grey’s Anatomy, started racing three years ago and this year he’s competing in the GrandAm Cup sanctioned by Grand American Road Racing. He’s racing with Hyper Sport, a team he co-owns with two other drivers, Joe Foster and Rick Skelton.

Patrick was down to earth and a pleasure to photograph. If only all celebrities were this easy to work with…
